Hoi An Farming, Lantern & Cooking Experience
More than a cooking class — a meaningful cultural experience in Hoi An
Looking for a unique way to experience the culture of Hoi An?
At Jolie Cooking Class, we invite you to explore local life through organic farming, market visits, Vietnamese coffee, traditional lantern making, and authentic home cooking with a local family.
This experience was created for travelers who want more than a typical tour. It is a chance to connect with the traditions, creativity, food, and everyday life of Hoi An in a warm and personal atmosphere.
Exploring organic farming traditions at Tra Que Vegetable Village in Hoi An.
Your journey begins at Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village, where you will meet local farmers and discover traditional Vietnamese farming methods surrounded by fresh herbs and peaceful gardens.
After visiting the farm, we continue to a colorful local market to explore fresh ingredients, local herbs, and the unique shopping culture of Vietnam.
Discovering local flavors and market culture in Hoi An.
Before cooking, we enjoy Vietnamese coffee together at a local café, sharing stories and experiencing the slower rhythm of local life in Hoi An.
We then return to Jolie’s home, where you will prepare authentic Vietnamese dishes using fresh ingredients collected throughout the experience.

Hands-on Vietnamese cooking in a warm family atmosphere.
More than just cooking, this experience is about sharing food, culture, creativity, and meaningful moments together like a Vietnamese family.
We use fresh local ingredients and traditional family recipes to create authentic Vietnamese dishes prepared with care and local knowledge passed down through generations.
A portion of every booking also helps support Jolie’s “Food Fund for Local Children” in Central Vietnam through community projects in mountain villages and rural areas.

Creating traditional lanterns inspired by the culture and spirit of Hoi An.
After the meal, you will learn how to create a traditional handmade lantern — one of the most iconic cultural symbols of Hoi An. Lanterns are believed to bring luck, happiness, and warmth to the home, making them a meaningful souvenir to take home from Vietnam.
Join us to explore local farms, visit traditional markets, enjoy Vietnamese coffee, create your own lantern, and experience authentic Vietnamese home cooking in Hoi An.
