We have a lot of concerns when we start to visit any country in the world. Weather no doubt is one of the most important things we should consider. How is the weather in Danang? Which month is the best time to visit Da Nang city? Yep, because of climate change, we could not show exact weather forecast in any city. Danang is always an ideal attraction all year. Each time, it has some own reasons for you to visit.

 Da Nang is in typical monsoon tropical climate, featuring stable and high temperature. This is a transitional zone between the climate of the North and the South. Therefore it has two distinctive seasons each year: the rainy season and the dry season.

  1. The Dry Season

The dry season lasts from mid Jan to first September. The weather in these months is quite good. In this season, the best weather falls on months from January to first April-  it is really comfortable and pleasant. Besides, when you visit Hanoi in this time, you will have a chance to experience Tet- the happiest and longest Vietnamese holiday of the year. However, the end of April to August, the weather in Danang is hot with average temperature of 32 degrees Celsius. Sometime it’s around 36 degrees.

The months from March to April are peak time of holidays and International Firework Festival. At this time, the atmosphere in Da Nang is very exciting with the art firework displays. You can also enjoy the famous bridges at night, it is very sparkling and outstanding.

What could we do in dry season in Danang

  • Going to the beaches is the best things we should do in summer days.
  • Visiting Bana hills (link tour Bà Nà) is an interesting activity for travelers.
  • Snorkeling on Cham island should be in our list.
  • Driving a motorbike around Son Tra peninsula is so fun with our friends under sunny days.
  • Joining basket boat trip at Cam Thanh village would be one of the wonderful things for outdoor lovers.

Note: From May to the end of August is also domestic tourist season. It could have a lot Vietnamese visitors on the beaches, famous attraction and Bana hills (Golden bridge). If you could get up early to avoid the crowd and the heat, it would be a great idea.

  1. The Rainy Season

The Wet season occurs from mid Sept to first Jan. At this time, the average temperature is about 25 degrees Celsius. Sometimes it rains but doesn’t last long. Unfortunately, this time of the year is also the typhoon season. There would be thunderstorms which could cause bad floods so you should check the weather forecast beforehand. However, it’s not bad in our thought as flood also has its beauty, hasn’t it? The floods in Hoian years before everlasted just 2-3 days. And Hoian was even beautiful in flooding. As we mentioned at the beginning, the climate change is happening. So, everything is quite different now. Example, until now – the early of December 2018, the weather is still nice. We just have some rainy days in the week. And we saw a lot of people walking along the beaches this afternoon. In November, it was still hot- around 32 degrees.
